Willpower
With my current musculature, I could stand to weigh around 10 lbs less than I weigh. I am particularly good at just dealing with being hungry, so whenever I want to cut weight, I usually just stop eating. I don't like spending time eating, so it feels like a win-win.
I've noticed this time, though, that my productivity just goes down the fucking toilet, because I can't willpower through hunger and concentrate on hard or tedious things for sustained periods. These draw on the same supply, and burning it from both ends doesn't lead to good results on either side of things.
Mostly just writing this down so I stay aware of it.
I've been buying 3 lbs. sacks of broccoli florets from Costco. It's pretty easy to throw some in a Chinese food container, with some cheddar shreds and bacon pieces (also available from Costco), and nuke it for a couple of minutes, so it steams itself. It's filling, nutritious, and not terribly calorie dense. Good, cheap, and fast.
Displace bad food with good food. Don't just eat nothing (idiot).
